Innovation Module

The «Innovation Module» includes the results of the following activities:

  • Elaboration of business plans of products / services - RES / EE projects in Ioannina - Argyrokastro, which ensure the enhancement of cross-border cooperation and the mobilization of the 4 components of the Cluster Mechanism / Network (Industry, Research Body, Public Authority, Civil Society). Plans will include: introduction, objective, technical analysis, expected results, financial analysis, viability analysis, risk analysis, timetable, bureaucratic procedures, implementation plan.
  • The collection and analysis of additional data and information that led to the selection of new members for further expanding the cluster mechanism across the cross-border event leading to maximization / capitalization of G.A.T.E. project results.
  • Elaboration of additional operational product / service project plans for RES / EΕ projects in all areas of the Greece - Albania cross - border area ensuring further enhancement of cross - border cooperation and further mobilization of all components of the Cluster Mechanism / Network.
  • The methodical development of appropriate feasibility analysis for RES-ES projects in 36 Educational Infrastructures of the Cross-Border Area.
They are included the results of the following activities:
  • Analysis and registration of the relevant market in the cross-border area.
  • Analysis and recording of similar clusters and service applications in Greek, Albanian, European, international space.
  • Identifying and recording potential funding sources and sources (eg grants from other public bodies, providing private financial support, European resources & funds).
Based on the above, the innovative project ideas were developed that could be applied and after the end of the project G.A.T.E. It is important to note that the methodological approach was based on:
  • Potential models of collaboration with other public and private entities other than members of the Cluster Mechanism / Network.
  • Possible channels of exploitation and utilization of the tools and services of the Mechanism.
  • Mechanism promotion and promotion framework.
  • The energy situation of the buildings of the cross-border area of Greece - Albania is examined, as well as the prospects for improvement through RES and ES interventions, especially in school units.
  • A total of 36 case studies of typical buildings from different climatic zones with different intervention scenarios were created in order to make the overall data more informative, containing most of the cases that may exist.
  • The data of each study are based on the statistical results file for the energy efficiency of buildings.
  • The results provide information on the average energy consumption per type of building in each regional unit. These elements were adapted to each typical building case chosen to be studied.
